THE HANDS-ON SESSIONS ARE CLOSED. (9/13/2013)
Regardless of attendee registrations/unregistrations or waitlisters being moved into session, those changes will not be made on the official attendance list (see FB Group) and will not allow you admittance to the session.
Media Kits. You know you need one, but you don't know where to start. Or you have one, but you want to make it better. Stacie shows you how to create your kit, which numbers matter, and how to track and present the results of the campaigns you work on.
What you'll learn:
- What tools to use to create and design your media kit
- Where to find the relevant data companies and advertisers are looking for
- How to highlight your contribution to a company's bottom line when they work with you
Please note these prerequisites. You must have these items ready to go as you will not have time during the session and the speaker will not delay the session as a courtesy to other attendees.
Because this is a hands-on session,
please bring the following to your session:
- Laptop - We recommend bringing a laptop instead of a tablet. You'll need to be able to access a word processing tool like Word or Pages in order to complete your media kit within the session.
- Pen and paper
- Blog/website statistics
- Current bio
- Ad rates if applicable
- Logos of companies you've worked with if applicable
- Anything else you'd like to include in your media kit
